The effectiveness of cognitive therapy (MCT) on attitudes to drug addicts under methadone maintenance treatment (MMT)

The aim of this study the efficacy of cognitive therapy (MCT) on attitudes to drug addicts under methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) is. This study was an experimental design pretest-posttest control group; Where 30 addicts referring to addiction treatment centers in two meta-cognitive group and control group, respectively. The subjects in both groups before and after the intervention was completed questionnaires drug. Results showed that the experimental group compared with the control group was significant change of attitude toward drug. Cognitive therapy to change the mediator substance cognitive variables, change the attitude and the desire to use drugs; Thus, according to the findings should be psychological treatment can be used alongside drug treatment.
