Designing a decision support system (DSS) model in the area of education management using Data mining method

In this paper, by examining factors influencing the educational status of higher education students, the relationship among these factors and their effect on the enhancement of individual abilities of students has been investigated. Given this issue, the aim of this paper is to use the recorded personal information of higher education students and to analyze the influencing factors, using modern tools and sciences such as data mining and statistical tools. In this regard, in addition to offering the analytical results obtained from these surveys, they will be modeled and a decision support system will be designed. And this will be applicable not only in the level of the deputy of education of Iran University of Science and Technology but in all other national and international universities across the world. The reference model used in this research is the model of CRISP for data mining, and based on that an optimal four-stage model is provided whose outputs are used in the given decision support system. Due to the large volume of the registered data, the case study of this research will be aimed at the Executive Management (attending and virtual) students of the university, and its results will be generalized for other fields.
