Relationship between emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial personality characteristics among the trainers of vocational and technical organization in Iran

Entrepreneurial characteristics are in fact the entrepreneur’s behavior outputs in different conditions and behavior is a function of acquired and innate components which can be exposed to dramatic changes through time. Emotional intelligence as a set of trainable behaviors can affect behavior characteristics of entrepreneurs. The present study aims at investigating the relationship between emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial personality characteristics among the trainers in the vocational and technical organization in Iran. The participants include 105 teachers and trainers of Technical and Vocational Training Organization from all parts of Iran. For data collection, after measuring and checking validity and reliability, two standard questionnaires of Entrepreneurs personality characteristics Measure (2007) and Bar-On questionnaire (1997) were used to measure emotional intelligence. The results of the study using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques suggest that there is a significant relationship between the entrepreneurial behavior characteristics and emotional intelligence in teachers and trainers of Technical and Vocational Training Organization.
