The study interaction of planting date, phosphate bio-fertilizer (Barvar- 2) and micro-nutrients foliar application (Zinc and Boron) on yield and yield components of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

To the study interaction of planting date, phosphate bio-fertilizer (Barvar- 2) and micro-nutrients foliar application (Zinc and Boron) on yield and yield components of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), an experiment was conducted at split plot factorial design based on randomized complete blocks with 16 treatments and 3 replications in Ramhormoz city in Khouzestan province of Iran in farming Year 2015-2016. The experimental factors were included two the planting dates (21 November and 5 January) as the main factors, two levels of seed non-inoculated and seed inoculation with phosphate bio-fertilizer (Barvar- 2) as the sub factors and four levels of foliar application by water (control), Zinc (3 lit.h-1), Boron (3 lit.h-1) and Zinc (3 lit.h-1) + Boron (3 lit.h-1) as the sub-sub factors. Solutions for foliar application were prepared by using Zinc- chelate (7.5%) for Zinc and Bore (5%) for Boron. The results showed that terminal heat stress due to late planting date (5 January) reduced yield and yield components (number of spikes per m-2, number of grains per spike, thousand grains weight, grain yield, biological yield and harvest index) of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The seed inoculation with phosphate bio-fertilizer (Barvar- 2) improved yield and yield components of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). In between the different levels of micro-nutrient spraying, foliar application by Zinc was more effective on yield and yield components of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). In general can concluded that interaction of optimum planting date (21 November) × seed inoculation with phosphate bio-fertilizer (Barvar- 2) × foliar application by Zinc (3 lit.h-1) improved yield and yield components of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.).
