Psychometric properties of the Persian version of Emotional Processing scale (EPS- 25)

The objective of this study was to examine psychometric properties of the Persian version of emotional processing scale (EPS-25). Woman students from universities located in region 5 of Tehran (Iran) voluntarily accomplished the Persian version of EPS and emotion regulation scale. 

The internal validity was appropriate; .86 for total scale and .80 to .65 for subscales. Split-half validity proved to be satisfactory .74 and .73 for two parts with .91 correlation between forms. Five factor principle component analysis predicts 58% of variance, while Kaiser- Meyer measure retained .75 and Bartlett’s test was significant. Finally convergent validity with subscales of ER scale was significant, however the correlation was not so high; approximately less than .3. Generally psychometric properties of Persian version of emotional processing scale was acceptable.
