Data Pluralism in Quantitative Decision Making Methods: Ranking Five Universities based on Antifragility using Crisp, Fuzzy and Grey values in TOPSIS Method

 Despite the increase in data pluralism approaches, it is rarely used in decision making methods. In this study, a data pluralism approach (which is one of quad dimensions of pluralism) is used to offer a ranking of five universities in terms of antifragility level. The antifragility implication has considerably developed during a few years that have passed since its emergence. Antifragile system improves in response to unpredictability, disturbance and randomness. As a case study, we collected data from our surveyed universities through a questionnaire including eight antifragility analytical criteria using five-point Likert scale and devoted a crisp number, a triangular fuzzy number and an interval grey number to each linguistic term. The weight of each evaluation criterion has determined using Entropy method. At the next phase, TOPSIS technique was used for ranking universities. We used aggregation methods (Borda, Copeland and Average Rank), because the results of rankings through crisp, fuzzy and grey values were different from each other. Since all these aggregation methods produced the same rankings, we considered it as the final ranking.
