چکیده مقاله
This article intends to investigate the exchanged jokes among the guidance school students regarding their correspondence with the educational goals as a one kind of hidden curriculum. In this study carried out via content analysis method, the participants (1713 girls from six guidance schools in Mashhad, a big city in Iran) were asked to write the three of the latest jokes they had heard from their classmates and submit them to the researchers. Accordingly, 5162 jokes were analyzed through inductive method. The findings of the study revealed that the content of the jokes did not correspond to the educational goals. Taking the assumption that telling jokes among teenagers at schools is an inevitable need, we discussed the effects of this kind of hidden curriculum in student’s attitudes. We also recommended approaches for better meeting the sense of humor needs in students.
