چکیده مقاله
This study compared the efficacy of group narrative therapy and individual narrative therapy on reducing generalized anxiety in children. The research method is a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental layout with two experimental and one control groups. The statistical sample includes all the children registered in Kanoon of Khomein City and the convenience sampling was used as the sampling method.
36 children, who were anxious children using CSI (generalized anxiety disorder,) were randomly assigned to two experimental and one control groups. Experimental groups were treated with group and individual narrative therapy within a month and a half, during 12 sessions of 40 minutes and the control group did not receive any intervention. Data were analyzed using analysis of covariance. The results showed that group narrative therapy was more effective than individual narrative therapy in reducing generalized anxiety in children.
