چکیده مقاله
The model predictive control is one of the most efficient control methods that calculates the suited system inputs to reduce the difference between the system desired and predicted output. Different architectures of predictive control are applied in the large scale structures such as power network. An important application of this type of control method in power networks is load-frequency control and demand-supply electric power balancing. One of the important challenges normally observed in the application of traditional control method to such systems, is their weak handling of disturbances. In this paper, a feasible cooperation based control method has been used to provide a better solution to this problem with relatively stict constraints. Also, a multi area power network has been chosen as a case study. The simulation results indicate the superior performance of the cooperative control in comparison with decentralized model predictive control and the traditional load- frequency control. This approach is well suited for emerging smart grid which are typically composed of several areas
