Simulation of wheat cultivars using CERES-Wheat in Alborz province

Use of crop modeling in many countries applied for prediction of growth and development. The models as tools for scientific research facilitate decision-making in agronomy management and help with training. Aim this study had an investigation and comparison of DSSAT crop simulation for prediction of growth, development and grain yield in five wheat cultivars (Kaskojen, Almoot, Zarrin, MV17, Sison) as consumed cultivars in Alborz province. In order to calibration and evaluation of CERES-Wheat model on five winter wheat cultivars under Karaj weather condition, two experiments (2009-2010) as randomized complete block design with four replications carry out in Islamic Azad university research and training field of Karaj branch. In this experiment, simulation of the grain yield, biomass and leaf area index in five cultivars investigated by CERES-Wheat model. Simulation results of grain yield show that, the model had successful for simulation all of the traits. Determine coefficient dimension of grain yield was in first and second years, 0.8-0.81 and 0.94-0.99 and d dimension coefficient 0.71-0.75, 0.88-0.99, respectively. Results show that model has simulated well growth and development process and grain yield in all of the cultivars in two years.
