Factor affecting on improvement health economic in Islamic Conference (OIC) Member Countries

This paper is an attempt to examine Economics and Geographic factor affecting on improvement health economic in selected countries, using data from the Islamic Conference Organization Member Countries. To capture the effect of economic, geographic and social factors on health, with the latter measured by life expectancy at birth in OIC members , we have modeled independent variables to include GDP, literacy rate, under nutrition, Out of Pocket as economic and social factors and population , the rate of urbanization, infection co2 emission as geographic factors. A random effect version of the panel data estimation procedure with OIC member country data spanning over the 2000 – 2012 period was utilized to obtain the parameter estimates. The estimates reveal that improvement economic, geographic and social factors result to advanced health economy in OIC member countries as increases in GDP per capita (gdp + population), literacy rate and the rate of urbanization enhance health economic, whereas increases in infection co2 emission , under nutrition and Out of Pocket decrease it.
