Identifying of factors for choosing Contractor of Drilling Projects by taking into account the Risk Factors and through Application of TOPSIS (R-TOPSIS) in Iran

The process of choosing contractors is accompanied with so many risks for employers. Hence, employers are always looking for a pattern or method to reduce these risks. Projects have had many executive issues in recent years. So, a method that would contribute to mitigation of current risks in projects seems necessary. Therefore, selecting contractors based on inappropriate attributes especially the least proposed bid and underestimating the significance of the effect of each of these attributes on the main factors of projects may endanger the project.Attributes are factors that must be used in order to achieve the predetermined targets, in other words a comparison of attributes should be made when assessing the contractors. Since each of the selected attributes are finally effective on the ranking, accurate determination of these attributes and evaluation of their effect on main factors of project, time, cost and quality are of major significance.This research intends to take action in identification of significant attributes using the process and methodology of risk management and thus not only increases the chance of succeeding in this project but also mitigates the risk of choosing inappropriate contractor.
