The cost and access to energy have significantly effects on quality of life and national economic health and environmental sustainability. Meanwhile wind energy can be considered as clean energy. This paper discuss about performance aspects of power system frequency control with a combined production. In this regard, the participation of wind turbines based on a double fed induction generator to achieve a desired robust performance is important. In large power systems, which is typically include control areas that are linked together, frequency control of load is important to keep the system frequency and power transfer between areas that are close to programmed values in so far as possible. Input mechanical power to generators for control the frequency of the output electrical power, and keep the power transfer is used between regions in programmed value. A well-designed power system should be able to works well against load changes and system disturbances. In this strategy, in addition to first control loop including governor natural response to changes in load, an auxiliary control or secondary control loop is also designed in control center for required production rate among all generators. The simulation results show that using wind turbines based on a double fed induction generators, the system response has been more desired. Performance of the proposed plan is shown on two area system with different scenarios of wind penetration and 2% disturbance on steps load. With evaluation of results are observed that the proposed scheme gives better robust performance.
