Comparison of Personality Traits, Emotional Maturity and Emotional Schemas among Men with Extramarital Relations and Men without Extramarital Relations

Background: infidelity in marriage or affair can be considered as one of the most complicated and harmful emotional problems between a couple. Additionally, infidelity is a main reason of divorce and marriage disintegration. There are many factors involving in marital infidelity and focusing merely on one factor as reason of infidelity is a kind of simplification.
Purpose: This research has been designed and conducted in order to study personality traits, emotional maturity and emotional schemas in some married men who had extramarital relations in Tehran during May to June 2015.
