Locating Handicraft Packaging Factory using Fuzzy AHP

The orientation of Iran’s economy is changing to non-oil economy. Development of non-oil export can effect occupation greatly, besides it causes increase in exchange revenue and improvement the balance of exchange payments. One of the segments that results in non-oil income is concentration on handicrafts. Improper packaging is one of the problems which is an obstacle for handicrafts marketing. This research has been done in Iran. In this research several cities have been studied for establishing handicraft packaging factories according to multiple criteria. Fuzzy AHP technique is used for applying quantitative and qualitative reviews of experts. The data for the research was collected by asking for experts’ comments and filling out the questionnaire. First of all pairwise comparison matrix is formed. Then the matrix is calculated by formulas. After solving the matrix, the abnormal weight is achieved. Then we normalize these weights. In the following all the normal weights of criteria in relation with each other and normalized weights of candidates according to criteria is achieved. At the end cities will be prioritized for establishing handicraft packaging manufactures.
