چکیده مقاله

Ternary nanocomposites, TiO2/Fe3O4/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were synthesized and characterized by XRD and SEM/EDX to reveal the crystal structure, morphology and property of the nanocomposites. The photocatalytic performance of the synthesized samples were evaluated by photocatalytic removal of 2, 4-dichlorophenol (2, 4-DCP) under visible light. Morphology and structural characterization showed that TiO2 Nps (in pure anatase phase) with size of about 8.56-14.38 nm and Fe3O4 Nps (in cubic spinel phase) with size of about 12.20 nm are present in nanocomposites. We obtained 50% and 78% removal of 2, 4-DCP in the presence of pure TiO2 and TiO2/Fe3O4/MWCNTs nanocomposite containing 0.12g MWCNTs under visible light respectively. These enhanced and unique properties of TiO2/Fe3O4/MWCNTs nanocomposite can be ascribed to the synergistic effect among three components.
