Agricultural Water Conflict Management in Iran: Governance or Governmentality

چکیده مقاله

The shortage of utilizable water resources in Iran is the cause of some conflicts among stakeholders. The intention of water conflict in this article is a term describing conflicts among water stakeholders in agricultural sector especially between farmers and government. The purpose of this study was to analyze and find the best way to solve the water disputes in the agricultural sector of Iran. Research methodology used is descriptive with collecting information through documentary studies. Agricultural water conflict in Iran has been described in three turning points in the last current decades. The result of this study shows that the most important water conflict is between water stakeholders and the government and the best solution of this conflict deals with transferring from governmentality to governance
