The use of genetic algorithms and fuzzy logic Optimal Placement fault current limiter power systems

In power systems, technical and economic benefits of limiting the application of FCL optimal parameters depend on the number of installed. In this paper, the optimal allocation of fault current limiters in power systems using genetic algorithms and fuzzy logic is studied. In this way, the minimum number of limiting the installation to places with optimal parameters for each limiting simultaneously is calculated and in such a way that the flow of fault current circuit breakers to cut capacity limit. To select candidate locations are better for learning FCL and thus reduce the search space sensitivity factor for the decline in the current bus error resulting changes in impedance of each branch is introduced. Applying these factors can improve the efficiency and accuracy of the calculations. Large synchronous generator fault currents may not function on the network and affect power systems. Fault current limiting by reducing fault current is fast and can effectively improve the stability of the financial system.
