Remove The Direct Black 22 Dye by Natural Absorbing of Eggshell: Optimization By Taguchi Statistical Method

چکیده مقاله

Textile industry waste water treatment due to having pigment pollutants with high concentration is considered of important concerns of environmental health experts. Physical absorption method on the adsorbent surface is raised as an effective and efficient method in dye effluents treatment. So the aim of this research is to investigate the capability of affordable absorption and availability of eggshell on adsorption of Direct Black 22 dye. The impact of parameters such as contact time, pH, adsorbent dosage, and temperature, the efficiency of absorption removal process was carefully explored. Measurements were performed by molecular absorption spectrometry method in wavelength of 585.5 nm. Finally, analysis of isotherm and adsorption kinetics was studied in order to investigate the mechanism of studied adsorption process. In pH2, contact time of 90 minutes, and operating temperature of 40 ° C, maximum dye removal was observed. It is worth noting that, adsorption efficiency was reduced by increasing the initial concentration of dye and reduce the amount of absorption. Studies of isotherm indicate multi-layer adsorption the dye on the egg shell and compliance with Freundlich kinetic model with a correlation coefficient of 0.9980 (R2=0.9980). Kinetic models also indicated compliance with the absorption process of the pseudo-second-order model (R2=0.9980)
