چکیده مقاله
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is the most common neurological diseases asneurological damage or destruction of the myelin. The incidence of MS increases in countries further from the equator. It seems that in addition to risk factors common genetic, viral infections and autoimmunedisease, other factors in development or clinical course of the disease contribute to this, such asbody minerals, hormones and serum proteins noted.A study to aim evaluate serum levels of iron, copper, prolactinand protein electrophoresis in MS patients andcompared with the control group did.In this study, serum levels of in 30 MS patients andhealthy individualsmeasured and comparedthatfrom terms of age and sex matched.Information obtained by using software SPSS-20 and independentT-test was analyzed.In this study, all individualsin both groups were women. The average age of women was 34±8/5 years.The results of measurement of serum levels iron,copper,prolactin, Albumin, Beta1, Beta2and Alpha2 group patients with mean difference andStandard deviation (SD) 93/10±34/23,54/96±25/16, 17/17± 6/71, 60/13±6/63, 6/70 ±1/12, 4/37 ± 1/24and 10/39 ±2/08 with the control group 100/46±34/74,50/96 ±22/16 , 49/05 ±18/82, 58/28 ± 3/77,6/88±1/10, 4/43 ± 1/00 and 9/52 ±1/54,There wereno significant difference, respectively. But, the average serum levels of Alpha1 and Gamma group patients with meandifference and SD 5/51±1/69and 13/11±4/56 with the control group 4/55 ± 1/03and 16/38 ± 2/21,there were significant difference, respectively.Conclusionofthis study show that serum levels of iron, copper, prolactin, Alpha2, Beta1andBeta2 in MSpatientswith the control group,there wereno significant difference.As well as, the average serum levels of Alpha1 and Gamma in MS patients and healthy individuals,there was no significant difference between the two groups (Alpha1: P = 0.01; Gamma: P = 0.001).
