Recognition of brain tumor with MRI images by using Gaussian filter and Fuzzy C-Means

Image processing is one of the most important achievements of human being and such a very developed engineering method which is commonly used as a non-invasive recognition method in medicine. Accurate recognition of tumors and lesions in body tissue needs high accuracy and skill that might not be possible by using common scanning techniques. Image processing methods with accurate segmentation and reaching to clear edges and improvement of images could perfectly recognize the location of tumors and lesions. There are several ways of image segmentation, which in this article, combination of two methods (Gaussian filter and Fuzzy C-Means) has been used and results show high accuracy and operating speed of proposed method to denoising and improvement of MRI images that consequently leads to tumor recognition.
