چکیده مقاله
Today, the development and use of renewable, clean and sources of energy with limited environmental hazard are required essentially. In this perspective, solar energy can certainly be taken into account as the most attractive renewable energy source since it is abundant, clean and safe (Sengupta et al. 2016). In this study, to construct an efficient photoanode, transparent and conducting Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) thin films was deposited on glass substrate by DC magnetron sputtering. Then, it’s characterization was performed by AFM and SEM methods.
Optical properties of each sample was studied using UV-Vis spectrophotometric technique. The results confirmed nano structure for the ITO thin film. The performances of the solar cell depend on the band gap, morphology, composition of metal oxides and thickness of metal oxide layers. Hence, the effect of thickness (700, 800, 900nm) on the physical (structural, optical)properties of ITO thin films was investigated systematically. It is observed that with increasing thickness (i) the films turn from amorphous to poly crystalline, (ii) average RMS roughness increases from 2.701nm to 4.006nm respectively.
