چکیده مقاله

Most of the agricultural machines for doing agricultural operations must move from one end of the field through parallel paths covering the field to the other end so that they traverse the entire field that a part of the distance is often traversed with no profitable work being done. Agricultural fields possess different shapes and diverse designs. Since the route length is not equal throughout a triangle-shaped field, it is more difficult to achieve a proper moving pattern in comparison with tetrahedron fields. There are different ways to define the traditional moving pattern of machines on the field among which continuous moving pattern is the most prevalent one. Other models including spiral and round types as well as six other genetic-based patterns have been examined and simulated. The purpose of this study is to reduce the non-working distance traveled by agricultural machines by using genetic algorithm while moving on the farm and going from one track to the next, and, consequently, increase farm efficiency. In this paper optimal patterns for traversing the agricultural machine in triangular-shaped fields using genetic algorithm were simulated and finally these optimal patterns were compared to traditional patterns. The simulation results indicated that optimal patterns are able to decrease 40% non-working distance and 50% non-working time.
