چکیده مقاله
Consciences level in work is crucial factor which motivates hard work, punctuality and work finalization, doing tasks with foresight while considering quality of decision-making and realistic self-control. At an optimum level of organization, consciences level at work leads to optimal performance, increased productivity and finally sustainable development. The main objective for the present research is to shed lights on effect of consciences on the performance of employees’ working in National Iranian Oil Company, department of human resources management development in managers and supervisors viewpoints. The study was conducted in descriptive and correlational manner. The population of this study constitutes people of which 149 so that using census 121 ones answered to the questionnaires. Research tools included conscious defensiveness questionnaire characterized with 32 items for consciences performance and 32 items Steers, Porter, & Bigley, standardized questionnaire. Data were analyzed using software SPSS (Correlation coefficient and T- test) and following information were obtained: According to the findings, work consciences had significant positive effect on employees’ performance and the research null hypothesis was accepted. Alternative hypothesis 1,2,3,5and 6 were confirmed suggesting that the work consciences impose direct impacts on knowledge, self-motivation, perseverance and enthusiasm in work, good behavior to clients and compliance with office disciplines significantly. The fourth sub-hypothesis was rejected suggesting that the consciences do not affect skill.
